Analysis of factors affecting the cultural tourism market from the perspective of tourists (Case Study: The city of Soltanieh)

Abstract
The city of Soltanieh is one of the most important tourist centers in the province which acts as a hub for cultural tourism. However so far it has failed to achieve appropriate position in the province tourism industry. In
this study, we have analyzed influential factors of cultural tourism market of Soltanieh with the aim of identifying difficulties of the industry. Domestic visitors of Soltanieh in 1390 were the research statistical society of which
383 interviewees were selected. Findings show that, in the first place the short term of staying in the destination and then, Inefficient advertisement for tourist attractions are two important factors causing tourism market
stagnation in the region which, in turn, are outcomes of insufficient recreational facilities and infrastructures. So, the tourism strategy should focus on other types of tourism such as ecotourism and sport tourism. To achieve this, leisure facilities and infrastructure should be promoted.
